The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a blizzard warning from 6am Tuesday through 6am Wednesday.
Total snow and sleet accumulations of 10 to16 inches are expected in much of the Ozarks, with localized amounts near 20 inches possible along and north of a line from Cassville to Rolla. Snow amounts will taper off quickly to the southeast of this line, where more sleet is expected.
Assistant News Director Nancy Simpson talked with National Weather Service Warning Coordination Meteorologist Steve Runnels about the seriousness of this storm and its impacts on the morning, and more importantly, the afternoon commute Tuesday.
