Crews are dealing with a big mess on the westbound ramp at I-44 and James River Freeway in Springfield, where a cattle truck flipped over shortly after 8am.

Traffic has been diverted around the scene, and several cattle were walking around on the highway. Most of those have now been cleared. At least one lane on westbround James River Freeway was blocked.

Trailers from the stockyards have arrived to pick up the cattle that survived. Multiple cattle were killed, and there ware about 80 head on the trailer. There's no word of any injuries on the part of the driver.
