The House Majority Caucus has appointed a new Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives. Elijah Haahr will be Missouri’s Speaker of the House come 2019, he will be the first in state history from Springfield to serve in that position. Haahr will replace current House speaker Todd Richardson, whose term ends after 2018. We have accomplished great things together under the leadership of Speaker Richardson, and I hope to build on these successes by working together as a caucus to make our great state even greater.” Haahr is also an attorney with Lathrop Gage. He is a graduate of Ozarks Technical Community College, Missouri Western State University, and obtained a law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law.
