A bill banning red light cameras in Missouri will go before a House Committee tomorrow in Jefferson City.
The cameras are also known as "automated traffic enforcement systems". Republican State Representative Bryan Spencer has filed the bill.
The bill would require any state or city that uses red light cameras to get rid of the cameras in one year. At some point, the bill could go before voters.
Spencer tells Missourinet he believes voters will approve the ban. People who support the use of red light cameras say they are important for safety.
