Habitat For Humanity Truck Located, Trailer Still Missing

Police in Springfield have been able to track down a pickup stolen from Habitat for Humanity.

It was found abandoned in the 1500 block of East Buena Vista. That's in an area of south of James River near Fremont.

What hasn’t been located yet is a trailer that was hooked to the truck. It was filled with tools.

Habitat for Humanity builds and repairs homes for people in need.

“Low-income homeowners are counting on our construction team and volunteers to build and repair homes,” said Larry Peterson, Executive Director of HFHS. “The stolen truck and trailer not only is costing thousands of dollars to replace, it’s costing the homeowners we serve.”

The group is offering a $1,000 reward.
