Lightning Starts Grass Fire, Burning Home Near Kimberling City

Southern Stone County Fire says a lightning strike to a power pole on Indian Hills Lane near Kimberling City started a brushfire.
A spokesman says the flames spread to a lake home and threatened another house before crews could knock the fire down. Both homes appear to have been empty.
There were no injuries.
