From A Press Release

Heavy snow is forecast  for parts of southwest Missouri. MoDOT crews will be on the road ahead of the winter storm. In southwest Missouri, snow fall amounts will range from a trace to as much as five inches in some areas. Heavy snow could be possible at times between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

In areas that receive snow or sleet, drivers can expect slick conditions on area roadways during the height of the storm. Major routes and less-traveled routes could be covered by freezing precipitation at times until the storm moves out of the area. Drivers are urged to allow plenty of travel time .

MoDOT crews will be on the road by the early morning hours of Thursday morning to get ahead of the storm. As the storm moves in, crews will concentrate first on clearing major roads like I-44, I-49, Route 60, Route 65, Route 13 and Route 54. As these routes improve, crews will move to lesser-traveled roads. Crews will plow off snow and treat area roadways with salt as needed during and after the storm.
