Update: Stockton Power Plant Repairs Won't Affect Residents
An update to a story we first brought you last week.
KTTS News has learned those repairs to the Stockton Power Plant, which will stop it from producing power for almost a year, will not affect residences or businesses in the area.
Operations Manager Rod Hendrix tells KTTS News that the plant, run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, doesn't usually provide power straight to homes. They instead sell it to other districts.
Those districts have back-up plans in place to get power from other sources, so everyone should be able to keep the lights on.
