A mysterious illness has infected nearly 30 of the state's medical examiners as they were gathered for a conference.

The Coroner's and Medical Examiners Association met at a hotel in Jefferson City this week. By the second day, some were reporting a sudden illness with symptoms like fever, chest pain, and coughing. Five MEs even wound up in the hospital.

Hotel management says the Health Department could not find anything wrong within the building.
