Prosecutors: Ex-Basketball Coach Had Sexual Contact With Student
An ex-basketball coach in Richland now faces charges of sexual contact with a student.
The allegations surfaced in November, and the district says Trevor Franklin was fired as a result.
Court papers say the student told police she and Franklin exchanged about 4,300 text messages over a two-week period, and that many of Franklin's were sexual in nature.
Prosecutors say Franklin was seen on security video fondling the student outside a school building.
