Bank Robber Charged With Murdering Young Mom From Hollister
A man already sitting in prison for robbing a bank in Joplin has been charged with a 10-year-old murder in Hollister.
Court papers say Philip Dodd, who is now 40, has been charged with murdering 19-year-old Becky Sutton back in 2003. Sutton went missing from her apartment, leaving her toddler son alone.
Documents show Dodd was a suspect early on and kept changing his story. The latest version says Dodd was hoping to get high with the young mother and tried to kiss her.
He then admits to dumping her body in a forest around Bradleyville.
A tip lead authorities to her remains a year after she vanished.
