A man is in custody after leading Springfield police on a 30-minute chase from the northwest side of town to the south side.

Police tried to stop the man on a felony warrant, but he took off. He tried to run over two Greene County sheriff's deputies, sideswiped two cars, and went the wrong way in traffic on busy Sunshine and on James River.

Police used a taser to arrest him on the parking lot of the Extended Stay hotel at Kingsley and Fremont.

The man is believed to be wanted for questioning in a homicide.
