Aurora Lawyer Named To Public Defender Commission
From An Edited Press Release Jefferson City – Gov. Jay Nixon today announced his nomination of Robert George from Aurora to Public Defender Commission.
The commission is responsible for the hiring of the state public defender director and makes any rules needed for the administration of the state public defender system.
George served as prosecuting attorney for Lawrence County from 1989 to 2010. He currently operates a solo private practice. George has served as an adjunct professor at the Aurora campus of Drury University.
The Governor has nominated him for a term ending March 11, 2019.
