Two MSU Lady Bears Receive Valley All-Conference Honors
A pair of MSU Lady Bears have received postseason recognition today from the Missouri Valley Conference.
Senior Whitney Edie has been named to the "honorable mention" all conference team. Edie leads the Lady Bears in scoring (14.5 points per game) and rebounding (8.1 per game) this season, while ranking fifth in the conference in each category.
Tyonna Snow is on the "All-Freshman Team," which is made up of only true freshmen in the league. Snow, who's from Blue Springs, Missouri, averages 8.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. She set a school record with 18 made free throws in 26 attempts in a game against Southern Illinois on February 21st at JQH Arena.
The Valley will announce its player and coach of the year Thursday night at the conference tournament in St. Charles.
Missouri State plays the first game of that tournament, taking on Drake at 4:05 p.m. Thursday.
