Man Found Dead In Springfield House Fire Was Shot

Springfield police say the man found dead in a burning house near Elm and Glenstone in Springfield was 62-year-old Richard Nothnagel.
Lieutenant Tad Peters says Nothnagel had been shot.
Police hope an autopsy tells them more about whether the man's death was a murder or a suicide.
Peters says the man's wife was not home during the fire.
Springfield fire investigators say the blaze was intentionally set.
Firefighters say something kept fueling the fire.
It took several hours for crews to put it out.
