CoxHealth in Springfield has been recognized by CareChex, the medical quality rating division of The Delta Group, as the top hospital in the nation for spinal fusion, and as second in the nation for spinal surgery, in the group’s 2013 America’s Top Quality Hospitals ratings.
Unlike other publicly available hospital quality ratings, CareChex provides a comprehensive, multi-dimensional analysis of medical quality by evaluating process of care, outcomes of care, and patient satisfaction data. Their National Quality Rating Database includes virtually all general, acute, non-federal U.S. hospitals.
CoxHealth in Springfield was also recognized by CareChex as the top hospital in Missouri in a number of categories, including major orthopedic surgery, trauma care, neurological care, major bowel procedures, gall bladder removal and general surgery.
