The MSU Lady Bears have jumped out to a 33-31 lead at the half over the Evansville Purple Aces at JQH Arena in Springfield.

For awhile, it looked like Missouri State would cruise to a big lead at the intermission as the Lady Bears went on a 20-2 run to go ahead 31-15 with 4:40 remaining.

But the Purple Aces got back in the game in a hurry on four consecutive three pointers, the last one by Chelsea Falkenstein pulling them within four, 31-27, with 2:03 left in the half.

After the Lady Bears got a bucket from redshirt freshman Kenzie WIlliams with 58 seconds to play, Evansville got the final two scores of the half.

Meagan Collins hit a shot with one second left to pull the Aces within two and complete a 16-2 run.

Williams has ten points to lead MSU in scoring, following by Karly Buer with nine.

Mallory Ladd's ten points are tops for the Aces.

Evansville is shooting 42% from the field (11-26), while MSU is 40% (14-35). The Lady Bears are winning the battle of the boards, with 22 rebounds to the Aces' 14.

The Lady Bears come into tonight's action 13-13 overall, 5-9 in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Purple Aces are 8-16, 6-7.
