Winter Storm Watch For Wednesday Night Into Thursday
Winter weather systems are hard to predict, and the one heading for the Ozarks is no exception.
The National Weather Service at Springfield-Branson National Airport says we will see a mix of rain, sleet, snow, freezing rain and some ice beginning Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.
Anywhere from a tenth to a quarter of inch of ice is possible especially on power lines and trees.
The Thursday morning commute could be tricky around the Ozarks.
The Weather Service says the greatest potential for the most moisture will be to the east of Highway 65.
Everything will change to all rain as we head into Thursday afternoon, with temperatures rising above freezing.
