While students enjoyed President's Day off in Barry county, teachers and police were hard at work in the Wheaton High School.

They set up a mock active shooter situation, complete with actors playing the shooters and wounded victims. Wheaton Police and others then practiced how they would get students and staff out safely while searching for the intruder.

There haven't been any major threats in Superintendent Lance Massey's eight years but he says in the wake of Newtown he wants to make sure everyone knows what to do if the unimaginable ever happened.
