MoDOT Says Bridges Are Safe, Despite National Study
Despite a recent national study that says the state's bridges are the 7th worst in the U.S., engineers with MoDOT say they're safe to drive on.
A MoDOT District Engineer says they recently completed its Safe and Sound Bridge Program in which over 800 bridges were replaced or rehabilitated.
The budget for the construction projects went down to 700 million a year compared to over a billion just a few years ago.
