Springfield Public Works Salting Roads Saturday Morning

Roadway conditions are slick in spots and that's causing driving problems for some people.

That overnight light dusting of snow combined with below freezing temperatures.

Springfield Public Works crews are out salting roadways, as officials found roadways had slick spots around the area.

Interim director of streets Ron Bailey called in a crew this morning after driving several road to check conditions.

Bailey says pavement temperatures are not going to be above freezing until between 10 a.m. and noon.

Numerous slide-offs and crashes started coming in just after daybreak.

One man was taken to the hospital after a three-car crash along westbound I-44 at the 92.8 mile marker near Strafford.

Other crashes were reported near Rogersville at Highways 125 and Hhighway D-D, and at Morning Glory and Timber Lake in Marshfield.
