New Option For Springfield Home buyers
With one time money from the state, the Springfield Community Land Trust has sold one of it's first homes to a family on west Calhoun.
Co-coordinator LeeAnn Camy tells KTTS News, the program has bought 19 foreclosed homes in center city and brought them up to acceptable living standards.
Low and moderate income families can qualify for a subsidized loan with a one thousand dollar down payment. When homeowners decide to sell, a portion of the equity goes back to the land trust so it can continue the program.
