Troopers Stop Runaway Semi On I-44

Highway Patrolmen pulled the driver of a semi out at gunpoint at I-44 and Glenstone in Springfield.
It happened just before 11a.m.
Troopers tried to stop the semi after getting reports that the big rig was stolen.
But the the driver wouldn't stop, so troopers used spike strips to blow out some tires.
The driver is in custody.
The stop backed up traffic on westbound I-44.
