Missouri State Proposing Tuition Rate Increase
Undergraduate students at MSU could be paying $3.52 more per a credit hour next year. Right now the fee is at $200.48.
Leaders will vote next month on the rate increase, the highest allowed without state approval.
Some students in the Department of Media, Journalism, and Film could face an even steeper hike. Leaders are asking for an increase of up to $18 a credit hour.
The News-Leader reports that officials say the rise is needed to keep Missouri State competitive in programs that require frequent equipment updates.
