Crash Damages Cox Health In Ozark

A portion of CoxHealth Center Ozark was damaged Tuesday morning when it was struck by a car. The accident occurred about 11:45 a.m., when a staff member in an employee parking area accidentally pressed the accelerator rather than the brake.
The driver was uninjured and, because it was nearly lunch time, there were no patients in the clinic.
The accident affected two unoccupied exam rooms, but patient care was not interrupted by the incident.The clinic remained open and patients continued to be seen in the facility's four other exam rooms.
Crews boarded up the damage Tuesday afternoon and permanent repairs are expected to begin shortly.
