Group Protesting Walmart Goes Before Council Lunch Meeting
A local citizens group is continuing its efforts to stop Springfield city council from approving a fifth Walmart neighborhood market from going up at Grand and Campbell.
Citizens Advocating Responsible Development say traffic is already heavy in the area, and city planners used outdated information when they recommended council approve the new market.
The group will voice its concerns this morning before council holds its regular Tuesday luncheon meeting.
Council will further discuss the issue at it's next meeting on Monday night.
