WASHINGTON, D.C. – During the Senate Republican Leadership Stakeout today, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) announced that he is considering legislation to stop pay for President Barack Obama’s unconstitutional National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) appointees.

The D.C. Circuit Court ruled last week that President Obama violated the Constitution when he made so-called “recess appointments” while the Senate was still in pro forma session. The NLRB subsequentlyannounced that it planned to disregard the federal appeals court’s ruling.

Last year, Senator Blunt joined 41 of his colleagues in filing an amicus brief in a challenge (Noel Canning v. NLRB) to the constitutionality of the president’s appointments.
