New USDA Guidelines Affecting After-School Programs
The new U-S-D-A nutritional requirements have an affect on Ozarks Food Harvest, which reimburses organizations for their after-school meals.
Spokeswoman Traci Nash says the programs are starting to have to meet the new guidelines.
The change is meant to help curb childhood obesity, but the tab to get this done jumps.
Nash says counties that have the biggest need for the after-school meals are Polk, Ozark and Douglas.
