Arts Groups Say Funds Are Being Diverted

(Missourinet) - Arts organizations around Missouri are asking state lawmakers for more money.
The Missouri Arts Council says it's gotten nothing in the past two years, and only a fraction of what it's entitled to under state law.
Arts groups in Missouri are supposed to be funded by a special income tax on athletes and entertainers who perform in our state.
The council says money has been withheld and diverted by the Nixon administration.
The governor is expected to respond on Monday.
