The 20th ranked Wichita State Shockers used a 10-0 run to jump out to a 25-21 halftime lead over the MSU Bears tonight at JQH Arena.

The Shockers, who come into tonight's game 17-2 overall and 6-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference, took a 4-3 lead with 15:55 left in the half, and although the Bears got it tied 8-8 on a three pointer by Marcus Marshall, they weren't able to pull ahead.

Wichita State went on a 10-0 run to double up on the Bears, 24-12, with 5:14 remaining, and it looked like the Shockers might be ready to pull away.

But enter MSU freshman forward Gavin Thurman, who hit a layup, a three pointer, and nailed another shot, all in less than two minutes, turning a 25-16 disadvantage into a 25-21 deficit.

Thurman's nine points lead Missouri State at the half, while CeanthonyEarly has nine points to lead the Shockers.

Neither team has shot well, with Wichita State at 27% (7-26) from the field, while the Bears are at 28% (7-25).

The Shockers are outrebounding the Bears 19-17.

Missouri State comes into tonight's play at 5-14 overall, 3-4 in the Valley.
