Arkansas Cops Find 54 Pounds Of Pot
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say two California men have been arrested after a traffic stop in Washington County turned up 54 pounds of marijuana and $1,100 in cash.
Police said Tuesday that 22-year-old Scott Fretland and 34year-old Wayne Lovel, both of Eureka, Calif., were stopped Sunday for allegedly speeding on U.S. Highway 412.
Fayetteville television station KHOG reports that a drug-sniffing dog alerted on their vehicle.
Each of the men is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and other charges. It was unclear whether they had legal representation.
