The Creighton Bluejays have taken a 36-25 halftime lead over the MSU Lady Bears in Missouri Valley Conference basketball action at JQH Arena in Springfield.

The Bluejays jumped out to a 5-2 advantage and haven't relinquished that lead, going on a 14-0 run midway through the half. That run included four straight three pointers in less than two minutes, with two of those by Ally Jensen, who has nine points to lead her team at the half.

To make matters worse, Missouri State went 7:17 without hitting a bucket.

The Lady Bears put together an 8-0 run to pull within eight points as Tori Henderson hit a shot with 2:07 remaining.

But Creighton got some momentum going into the locker room as Marissa Janning banked in a long three pointer as the buzzer sounded.

Whitney Edie has six points to lead the Lady Bears in scoring.

MSU comes into tonight's game with a mark of 9-7 overall, 1-3 in Valley play. The Bluejays, preseason favorites to win the conference, are 12-4, 4-1 after losing to Wichita State on Saturday.
