St. John Bosco Beats Prestonwood Christian 74-53 At Bass Pro Tournament Of Champions

The 29th Annual Bass Pro Tournament Of Champions is underway at JQH Arena in Springfield, with two area teams and six out of state squads doing battle.

In the early game, St. John Bosco out of Bellflower, California had no problems with Prestonwood Christian from Plano, Texas, winning 74-53.

Isaac Hamilton, a 6-4 senior guard who's ranked #16 in the nation by Rivals, finished with 21 points for the Braves to lead all scorers. Shane Missimo had 17 points to lead Prestonwood.

Neither team displayed a lot of offense in the first half, as the Braves held the ball for the final two minutes of the second quarter before missing a three point attempt at the buzzer to carry a 33-23 lead into the locker room. 

St. John Bosco outrebounded Prestonwood 32-13 and shot 60.4% from the field for the game (32-53).

Prestonwood is playing without the injured Julius Randle, a 6-9 forward ranked #2 in the nation by Rivals.

Friday's games tip off a half hour earlier than today, at 4:30 p.m, with Saturday's four game slate getting underway at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets are on sale at the JQH Chevy Pick Up Window, with a three day reserved ticket selling for $36.00, and a single day reserved seat for $12.00. An adult general admission ticket for a single day is $10.00, with single day student G-A selling for $7.00.
