Commission Looking For Appeals Court Judge
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A state commission is seeking applicants for a seat on the Missouri Court of Appeals' Western District.
The Kansas City-based court will have a vacancy with the planned retirement next month of Judge James M. Smart Jr.
Applications are due by Feb. 15 to the Appellate Judicial Commission, which will interview candidates and nominate three finalists. The new judge will be appointed by Gov. Jay Nixon.
