A man from Springfield who was Elvis' guitar player up until is death has died.
Family says John Wilkinson died after a long battle with cancer. He was 67.
When he was 10 he snuck into Elvis' dressing room before a show at the Shrime Mosque and told him "you don't play guitar worth a damn". Elvis said he was impressed with the kid and predicted they would meet again.
In lieu of flowers, his family is asking that contributions be made to the American Cancer
