Springfield Schools Superintendent Proposes Bond and Levy Hike
More kids, and more ways to serve those kids is prompting Springfield school superintendent Dr. Norm Ridder to call for a bond issue and levy increase for the schools.
Ridder will propose a $70 million bond issue to make building improvements and technology upgrades.
The levy hike of 25 cents would be used to hire more teachers.
Ridder will go into more details during a special board meeting at 4 p.m.
The board's first regular meeting of the year will follow at 5:30 p.m.
