Update: Funeral Set For Father Of Murdered Nixa Woman
Funeral arrangements have been set for the father of a woman from Nixa who was killed 26 years ago.
Visitation for Les Johns will be Tuesday night 6PM -8PM at Barnes Funeral Home. A graveside ceremony will be held on Wednesday 2PM at Sparta Cemetery. He will be buried next to Jackie and her mother.
Johns was able to see his daughter Jackie John's murderer brought to justice. Prosecutors were originally going for the death penalty for Gerald Carnahan, but agreed to life in prison so Johns could see his daughter's killer face prison time.
Carnahan was found guilty of the crime in 2010.
