Federal Grants Helps Aid Greene County Fire Departments

Big changes are coming to the way firefighters communicate with one another.
That's thanks to a federal grant. All fourteen Greene County departments will be updating their radios later this month.
That will include different special features like being water proof and the ability to talk to other departments in the state in case of a statewide emergency.
The grant covers eighty percent of the cost for the new radios.
