MSSU Trains Should Shooter Come On To Campus
(MissouriNet) - Everything was simulated on the campus of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, even the panic in victim Patty Valencia's voice.
A spokeswoman for for the school says they had staged a drill with campus officers and Joplin police as to how two shooters would be handled.
Spokeswoman Cassie Mathes says the drill is standard practice, with each scenario being different.
Friday's scenario ended with two shooters being arrested, and no fatalities.
