Springfield Schools May Seek Bond Issue, Increased Tax
Improvements to school buildings and more teachers are just two of the things that Springfield school superintendent Norm Ridder will propose during a special board meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
The Springfield News-Leader says Ridder will propose a bond issue of up to $70 million, and adding up to a quarter to the current tax levy to pay for the improvements,
The special meeting is being held at four o'clock, ahead of the first regular meeting of the new year at 5:30 p.m.
