Congresswoman Hartzler Weighs In On Defense Spending

The Senate and the President need to start cutting wasteful programs out and focus on priorities like the military.
That's the message from Missouri Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler who says we have to provide for the common defense as one of our first prior ties.
"By cutting wasteful programs elsewhere, and unfortunately the Senate and the President have not moved forward with that, but that is certainly what I am going to keep advocating for because there is only a few things Congress should be doing, and one of them is providing for the common defense," Hartzler said.
Congress voted to temporarily avert a sequestration but leaders say a long term solution is still needed.
