State Offices Reopening Today In Little Rock
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Governor Mike Beebe says state offices in the Little Rock area will reopen today with a two-hour late start because of wintry weather.
State offices have been closed since the Christmas Day storm dumped snow and ice on the region and caused tens of thousands of power outages.
Beebe says state employees will have a two-hour late start on Friday, while workers considered essential personnel should report at their regular time. Beebe says agency directors can give employees extra time to make it into the office.
Freezing rain is predicted today, but forecasters say accumulation should be minimal.
