Shoplifters no doubt hit many stores at the last minute during the Christmas shopping season.

The owners of the Review Shoppe in Springfield say two female Scrooges made off with some $3,000 thousand dollars in merchandise in about 10 minutes.

One woman would go to a storeroom with designer purses and hide behind clothes, take the paper stuffing out of the purses then collapse them to put them in other handbags.

The owners say the thieves are good at what they do, and surveillance video is being shared with nearby stores.

Police are investigating.
