A furniture store in the Ozarks is helping a Springfield based humanitarian group raise money for a special campaign. The following press release is from Convoy Of Hope:

Springfield, Mo. -- Springfield’s Ashley Furniture HomeStore supported Convoy of Hope’s efforts to help the less fortunate this year by designating a community day where customers were asked to donate $20.00 to Convoy of Hope. Ashley Furniture then matched every donation and asked their employees to donate one day’s salary to Convoy of Hope’s One Day to Feed the World campaign.

“Convoy of Hope is much more than a charity, says Andrew Covington, president and owner of Ashley Furniture. “They are God’s hands in our communities and around the world, feeding the hungry, giving drink to those thirsty, providing shelter and much needed family support.  As a business owner, I am so blessed and grateful to our employees that want to give a portion of their salaries or a customer giving a donation when shopping. They honor me, my business, our community, our country and our Lord. I know Convoy of Hope will take every dollar and multiply it many times over in the self-sacrificing way their go about their mission.”

“Convoy of Hope is a donation-driven organization so everything we do, whether it’s here in the Ozarks or around the world, is all a result of people’s sacrificial donations,” says Jeff Nene, national spokesperson for Convoy of Hope. “So when Ashley Furniture’s customers and the company get together to support what we do, it allows us to do so much more all around the world.”
