Highway Patrol Releases Crash Summary For Troop I
The Missouri Highway Patrol has released information on traffic crashes for November in the Troop I region (Rolla).
The press release below has details:
Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol recorded two traffic fatalities during the month of November, 2012. This is three less than November, 2011. Total fatalities for 2012 is 36, which is one more than last year.
Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, Rolla, wants to remind everyone that frost and ice covered windshields are common causes of some of our traffic crashes this time of year.
With this in mind, Captain Kenley urges all drivers to properly defrost their windows before driving, and to use their headlights on days that are overcast, foggy or snowing.
She reminds everyone to be aware of what is called “black ice”, during or after a snow or ice storm.
Please help us and help yourself by taking the extra time to prepare your vehicle, use good common sense, be courteous in your driving habits and always wear your seatbelts.
