Nixon Request Moment Of Silence Friday For School Shooting Victims
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is asking folks across the state to take a moment of silence Friday to remember the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Connecticut last week.
The moment of silence is set for 9:30 AM.
“We are heartbroken over the loss of so many innocent lives, and this moment of silence across the country represents the sorrow deeply felt by our nation,” Gov. Nixon said.
Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy asked that other states join his in the moment of silence to remember the twenty children and six adults that were killed at the school.
