Update: Woman Killed When Car Hit By Train In Marionville
We're learning more about a deadly crash involving a car and a train in Marionville.
Police Chief Mark Webb says the car was pushed at least a half mile down the track from the Odell Crossing. It was struck on the passenger side, where a woman in her late 20s was sitting. She died at the scene. The driver was laying on the tracks when police arrived. He was rushed to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries.
Webb says the car had Arizona plates, but police believe the driver had been living in the area for a while.
The crossing has signs and flashing lights, but no signal arm. Webb says the location has a history of crashes, but none have been on this scale.

The crash happened at the Odell Crossing, just west of Frisco. Chief Webb says one person was rushed to a hospital. He doesn't know how extensive the injuries are.
The Highway Patrol is investigating what may have led to the crash. Chief Webb says there's not a bar at the crossing, but there are flashing lights and a signal.
