Salvation Army Opens Cold Weather Shelter In Springfield
For the first time this year, the Salvation Army in Springfield is opening it's Emergency Cold Weather Shelter tonight.
The Salvation Army makes cots and breakfast available to people to people needing to stay warm.
Last year, it opened the shelter seven times when the wind chill dipped below 14 degrees, helping 60 people.
The shelter is at corner of Kansas Expressway and Chestnut Expressway.
