Mo Domestic Violence Lobbyist Says More Money Is Needed
The whole country is talking about domestic violence in the wake of the murder-suicide involving Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend.
The Missouri Coalition Against Domestic Violence is asking state lawmakers for more money to deal with the problem.
The group says on average 40 women in Missouri are killed each year by their partner, and more than 48-thousand women and children seek help for some form of abuse.
Another 25-thousand are turned away.
