The Greene County Assessor says taxpayers can now sign up to file their is 2013 Personal Property Assessment Lists online. Next year will be the first time online filing of individual assessment lists will be available in Greene County. At this time, business owners will continue to file their assessment lists in the regular fashion.
To sign up for online filing, go to the Greene County website at http://www.greenecountymo.org and click on "Assessor" on the left side of the page. When the Assessor page appears, click on "Online Registration" to register. If you have questions, the assessor's office number is 417-868-4101.
In January 2013, individuals will receive their pre-printed assessment lists with an online identification number printed on the form. The property owner may then choose to mail in the paper form or file online. It is very important to select only one method of filing to avoid duplication. If you choose to file online beginning in 2013, you will receive only a postcard in subsequent years rather than a paper assessment list.
